I have a huge respect for small business owners and entrepreneurs. As a business owner myself, I know how hectic that journey feels most of the time. I think that entrepreneurs are very brave — they are putting so much at stake in order to follow their dreams. This is why I love working with them.

 I came from a corporate background — I had 8 years of experience working as a business analyst in large construction companies back in Russia. When I came to the US in 2010, I got a master's degree in Project Management from Northeastern University; I was going to continue my career in the corporate world.

 While studying at NEU, I started helping my friend with Google AdWords for his startup. This is when I realized that online marketing is my real passion, and the world of startups and entrepreneurs is where I want to be.

 My analytical experience affected my approach for creating social media marketing strategies. I use mind maps to visualize target audience segmentation and sales funnels, and KPIs to evaluate results. I love numbers — you can see it in my case studies. But for social media, numbers are not enough. My success formula for Facebook and Instagram Marketing is research and planning + genuine communication and engagement + creativity and fun. Every component is important.

 The communication component is easy for me, because I like to get to know people. This part of my personality helped me a lot when I moved to the US and started here from scratch. I know that all immigrants can relate!
